Through The Whisky Barrel Scottish Premiere

Had such an amazing night at the Premiere on Saturday night.  The stress of organising it all was so worth it to see how much fun everyone had and we raised over £700 for The Scottish Surfing Federation.  So chuffed!

Me and my gorgeous helpers - Sarah and Candi did a fantastic job selling raffle tickets and Alex was a star helping set up in the afternoon.

A massive day in Thurso

It's fair to say I was shitting myself when Boydie persuaded me to paddle out into massive Thurso East.  Looking back on some of the video footage that was taken, the faces were easy 3 times the size of me and I'm 5'1.   It was great experience to paddle out there and watch Micah, Boydie, Chris and Rick dominate.  They are so confident especially watching them put in turns and get amazing barrels on those giant sets.  After about half an hour of being out there, I finally plucked up the courage to go for a smaller inside wave. Heart was pounding when I paddled in and just shut my eyes and prayed I made the drop.  What a relief when I felt the board under my feet, bottom turned and looked up to a face walling up ahead of me and easy twice the size of me...too scared to try and turns and just pumped along til the barrel section took me out.  Bang! Popped up quite quickly and only took one set to the head but got out to the channel and that was enough for me.  Was so stoked all night after that one :)  

London Surf Film Festival 2011

Had such an amazing weekend at The London Film Surf Festival.  What an awesome event - Demi and Chris (the organisers) did a fantastic job.  "Through The Whisky Barrel" was so well received and overwhelming how many people are interested in Scottish surfing and loved the film.  Very proud of my boy <3 Well done Allyn!

Through The Whisky Barrel

Actually so excited for "Through The Whisky Barrel" which I am going to be featured in.  Heading down to The London Surf Festival on Thursday for the world premiere of the film.  Can't wait to see Scottish surfing on the big screen for the first time ever and see the whole edit.  Will be great to catch some of the other films when I'm down there too especially "First Love"

Was great to see such a good turn out at the Clans this year.  The waves were pretty fun and the Broch conquered again.  Well done to them, they had a great team and they all surfed really well.  We'll maybe get them next year

Thurso September 2011

Waves were sucky this trip and none of the reefs were on so surfed Farr Bay.  Got chased by these sheep on the way down...pretty funny!

Not usually a fan of Farr but there was a decent right breaking, which was fun :)

Trip to Hossegor 2011

Love the waves in Hossegor!  So punchy for a beach break and the hurricane in America helped us out on this trip!  So nice to get out of the wettie and surf in a bikini too.  Shame I got my boarshorts ripped off in one of the hold downs...pretty intense!

We need skate lanes like this in Scotland so we can skate from town to town
